Background

Necrostatin-1 is a specific inhibitor of necroptosis that reduces ischemic tissue damage in stroke models. It has also been recently confirmed to be an allosteric RIP1 kinase inhibitor, preotective in NMDa-mediated excitotoxicity and acute pathologies.
