Resveratrol
Quick Overview for Resveratrol (ABIN7542902)
Application
Chemical Name
-
-
Purpose
- Antioxidant, SIRT1 activator
-
Characteristics
- Naturally occurring phenolic antioxidant. Displays antitumor and antiplatelet effects. Activates SIRT1 and increases longevity in yeast. Ameliorates ageing-related phenotypes by inhibition of cAMP phosphodiesterases. Stimulates increased expression of transthyretin which binds Aβ peptide and prevents its aggregation and toxicity. Attenuates Aβ-induced neurotoxicity by induction of autophagy. Rescues SIRT1-dependent adult stem cell decline.
