    Protocol

ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. An antibody has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for target is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the target amount in sample captured in plate.

    Oncostatin M Receptor (OSMR)

    Alternative Name

    OSMR

    Background

Background: Oncostatin-M specific receptor subunit beta also known as the Oncostatin M receptor (OSMR) , is one of the receptor proteins for oncostatin M, that in humans is encoded by the OSMR gene. This gene encodes a member of the type I cytokine receptor family. The encoded protein heterodimerizes with interleukin 6 signal transducer to form the type II oncostatin M receptor and with interleukin 31 receptor A to form the interleukin 31 receptor, and thus transduces oncostatin M and interleukin 31 induced signaling events. Mutations in this gene have been associated with familial primary localized cutaneous amyloidosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
