- Background
- BTN3A1, also known as butyrophilin subfamily 3 member A1 isoform, belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is composed of an extracellular N-terminal IgV and a membrane proximal IgC domain followed by a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic tail. This protein plays a role in T-cell activation and in the adaptive immune response. Also, it regulates the proliferation of activated T-cells and the release of cytokines and IFNG by activated T-cells. Recombinant human BTN3A1, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
