Characteristics
-
Protein Size: Native human Bone Morphogenetic protein-5 is generated by the proteolytic removal of the signal peptide and propeptide, the molecule has a calculated molecular mass of approximately 16 kDa. Recombinant BMP-5 is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consisting of 139 amino acid residue subunits, and migrates as an approximately 16 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
Sequence Position: Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human Bone Morphogenetic protein-5 mature chain was expressed in Escherichia Coli.
