Restrictions
- For Research Use only
-
-
-
Format
- Lyophilized
-
Reconstitution
- 50 mM acetic acid,The lyophilized IL-2 should be reconstituted in 50 mM acetic acid to a concentration not less than 100 μg/mL. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at -20 °C for future use.
-
Buffer
- 50 mM acetic acid
-
Handling Advice
- Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Storage
- 0 °C,-20 °C
-
Storage Comment
- The lyophilized IL-2, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstituted IL-2 should be stored in workingaliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Background
-
Synonyms: IL2, IL-2, TCGF, lymphokine
Description: IL-2 is a powerful immunoregulatory lymphokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. IL-2/IL-2R signaling is required for T-cell proliferation and other fundamental functions which are essential for the immune response. IL-2 stimulates growth and differentiation of B-cells, NK cells, lymphokine activated killer cells, monocytes, macrophages and oligodendrocytes. Recombinant human IL-2 (modified at the C-terminal end) is a 15.5 kDa protein, containing 156 amino acid residues including one intrachain disulfide bond.
