    Handling Advice

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, keep on ice when not in storage

    Storage

    -80 °C

    Storage Comment

Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.

CHD7 (Chromodomain Helicase DNA Binding Protein 7 (CHD7))

    Alternative Name

    CHD7

    Background

Protein Background: CHD7 is one of the nine members of the chromodomain helicase DNA-binding family of ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling enzymes. CHD proteins are broadly classified into three subfamilies on the basis of their constituent domains: subfamily I (CHD1 and CHD2), subfamily II (CHD3, CHD4 and CHD5) and sub-family III (CHD6, CHD7, CHD8 and CHD9). CHD7 is the most extensively studied member of CHD subfamily III. Mutations in CHD7 give rise to CHARGE syndrome, a human condition characterized by malformation of various organs.

Short Description: Recombinant CHD7 protein was expressed in a baculovirus expression system as the full-length protein (accession number NP_060250.2) with an N-terminal FLAG tag. The molecular weight of CHD7 is 337.2 kDa.
