LPCAT2 encodes a member of the lysophospholipid acyltransferase family. Additionally we are shipping LPCAT2 Kits (10) and LPCAT2 Proteins (7) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 10 out of 43 products:
three of these five genes (CXCL14 (show CXCL14 Antibodies), ITGAX (show ITGAX Antibodies), and LPCAT2) harbored polymorphisms associated with aggressive disease development in a human GWAS cohort consisting of 1,172 prostate cancer patients.
Data indicate a strong negative correlation between ALOX15 (show ALOX15 Antibodies), FADS2 (show FADS2 Antibodies), and IL5RA (show IL5RA Antibodies) expression with 2-arachidonoylglycerophosphocholine levels in dual asthmatic responses.
LPCAT1 (show LPCAT1 Antibodies) and -2 have, in addition to their known function in specialized cells, a ubiquitous role in LD-associated lipid metabolism
Our enzymatic assays strongly suggest that the cDNA previously identified as LPCAT2/lyso platelet-activating factor-acetyltransferase cDNA has AGPAT activity and thus we prefer to identify this clone as AGPAT11 as well.
The enzyme acetyl-CoA:LYSO-PAF acetyltransferase catalyzes not only biosynthesis of PAF upon acute inflammatory stimula (show KIAA0101 Antibodies)tion but also (show KIAA0101 Antibodies)incorporation of arachidonoyl-CoA to produce PAF precursor (show KIAA0101 Antibodies) membrane glycerophospholipids for membrane biogenesis.
We show a new signaling pathway for rapid biosynthesis of PAF (show KIAA0101 Antibodies) that is mediated by phosphorylation of LPCAT2 at Ser (show SIGLEC1 Antibodies)-34.
Specific inhibition of the PAF (show KIAA0101 Antibodies) biosynthetic activity by phosphorylated LPCAT2 will provide a novel target for the regulation of inflammatory disorders.
Cloned the mouse acetyl-CoA:LYSO-PAF acetyltransferase (show LPCAT1 Antibodies) and found that the enzyme catalyzed not only biosynthesis of PAF (show KIAA0101 Antibodies) from lyso-PAF (show KIAA0101 Antibodies) but also incorporation of arachidonoyl-CoA to produce PAF (show KIAA0101 Antibodies) precursor membrane glycerophospholipids.
This gene encodes a member of the lysophospholipid acyltransferase family. The encoded enzyme may function in two ways: to catalyze the biosynthesis of platelet-activating factor (1-O-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) from 1-O-alkyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, and to catalyze the synthesis of glycerophospholipid precursors from arachidonyl-CoA and lysophosphatidylcholine. The encoded protein may function in membrane biogenesis and production of platelet-activating factor in inflammatory cells. The enzyme may localize to the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi.
