Immunogen Peptide with sequence EDSQDLNEQSVKKTC, from the N Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_004091.3, NP_742102.2, NP_742103.1.
Blocking Peptide Blocking peptide for this product available: ABIN370109
Specificity This antibody is expected to recognise isoforms a, c and d (NP_004091.3, NP_742102.1 and NP_742103.1 respectively).
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name EYA4 (EYA4 Antibody Abstract)
Background Synonyms: EYA4, eyes absent homolog 4 (Drosophila), HGNC:3522, DFNA10, OTTHUMP00000040267, dJ78N10.1 (eyes absent (Drosophila) homolog 4), deafness, autosomal dominant 10, eyes absent 4, RP11-704J17.4, CMD1J, DFNA10
Gene ID 2070, 14051
NCBI Accession NP_004091, NP_742102, NP_742103
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:128000.
Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 50 kDa band in human and mouse brain lysates and in pituitary mouse cell line NIH 3T3 after 0.1 µg/mL antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated sizes of 69.5 kDa, 67.1 kDa and 69.4 kDa according to NP_004091.2, NP_742102.1 and NP_742103.1 respectively. The 50 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
