Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p)), Flow Cytometry (FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro)), Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
    Specificity
Recognizes an internal, highly conserved amino acid sequence (VQEALD and VQAALD) found in both protein isoforms, P-glycoprotein and MDR3 P-glycoprotein, not species specific. Species Crossreactivity: human, mouse, rat and hamster. Crossreactivity Proteins: a ~200kD protein which migrates in the same position as myosin and with C-erbB2 protein (p185c-erbB2).
    Purification
    Protein A purified
    Immunogen
SDS-solubilized plasma membranes of an MDR (multidrug resistant) Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line and a human cell line.

    Type of Immunogen: Cell fraction
    Clone
    C219
    Isotype
    IgG1

  • Application Notes
    Approved: Flo, ICC, IHC, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, IP, WB (1:25 - 1:50)

Usage: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Flow Cytometry: Cell permeabilization required. Western Blot: 1:25-1:50. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin and Frozen): For paraffin sections, dilute 1:12.5 for biotin based detection. The antibody should be incubated for 60 minutes at RT. Immunocytochemistry: Cytospin preparations. Positive control: Cell lines: Appropriate drug-sensitive parental cell lines and their multidrug resistant derivatives prepared by the same methods as the test specimens can be used as control materials.
