Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal region of rat Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in human and rat.

Background Function: This protein is an auxiliary protein of DNA polymerase delta and is involved in the control of eukaryotic DNA replication by increasing the polymerase's processibility during elongation of the leading strand. Involvement in disease: Antibodies are present in sera from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. Also known as: Cyclin, DNA polymerase delta auxiliary protein, Polymerase delta accessory protein, Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 150 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
