Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the region around (and including) phospho Y816 site of rat TrkB (BDNF/NT-3 growth factors receptor, TrkB tyrosine kinase, Trk-B) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in hu
Specificity Specific for DICER.
Purification IgG
Alternative Name TrkB (BDNF/NT-3 growth factors receptor,TrkB tyrosine kinase, Trk-B)
Background Function: Receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5 but not nerve growth factor (NGF). Involved in the development and/or maintenance of the nervous system. This is a tyrosine-protein kinase receptor. Known substrates for the TRK receptors are SHC1, PI-3 kinase, and PLC-gamma-1.
Catalytic activity: ATP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine = ADP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine phosphate.
Subunit: Exists in a dynamic equilibrium between monomeric (low affinity) and dimeric (high affinity) structures. Binds SH2B2. Interacts with SQSTM1 and ARMS.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Single-pass type I membrane protein. Also known as: Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 2, TrkB tyrosine kinase, GP145-TrkB/GP95-TrkB, Trk-B, BDNF/NT-3 growth factors receptor.
UniProt B3DLA6
Application Notes A concentration of 10-50 µg/mL is recommended.
The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. This antibody is also likely to recognise the unphosphorylated form.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20 °C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8 °C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability.
Expiry Date 12 months
