Additional Information

Alternative name RPC6
UniProt Q61143
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the 1t cytoplasmic loop of rat TRPC6 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous with the corresponding sequence in mouse.
Format Lyophilized
Isotype IgG
Description FUNCTION: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. Seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: Short transient receptor potential channel 6, TrpC6, Calcium entry channel, Trp6, transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 6, Trrp6, mtrp6, AV025995, LLHWJM002, LLHWJM003, LLHWJM004.
Specificity Appears to be specific for TRPC6.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity IgG
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
