Immunogen Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pTyr515 (P-Q-Y (p) -F-G) derived from Human TrkB. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.
Isotype IgG
Specificity The antibody detects endogenous level of TrkB only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 515.
Purification The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

Background Receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5 but not nerve growth factor (NGF). Involved in the development and/or maintenance of the nervous system. This is a tyrosine-protein kinase receptor. Known substrates for the TRK receptors are SHC1, PI-3 kinase, and PLC-gamma-1.
