data suggest that ARNT2/HIF-2beta is required at high levels during nephrogenesis in distal tubules and later exclusively in thick ascending limb
The differential binding of AhR (show AHR Antibodies) by Arnt (show ARNT Antibodies) and Arnt2 can be ascribed to a single His/Pro amino acid difference in the PASB region of Arnt (show ARNT Antibodies) and Arnt2.
Cap-analysis of gene expression (CAGE) data points to Arnt2 as a key regulator in hippocampus.
Arnt2 contributes to control of lateral positioning of longitudinal hypothalamic-spinal axons by negative regulation of robo3a (show ROBO3 Antibodies).1 expression, which in turn attenuates the repulsive activity of Robo2 (show ROBO2 Antibodies).
Zebrafish gene (zfARNT2) is not essential for mediating TCDD developmental toxicity in zebrafish.
The only effect in arnt2(-/-) larvae that occurred before 120 hours postfertilization (hpf) was a decrease in expression of sim1, an Arnt2 dimerization partner, in the hypothalamus and ventral thalamus at 72 hpf.
Attenuated ARNT2 expression in HCC827 cells greatly promoted tumor growth.
nominal associations were found between autism spectrum disorder scores and single-nucleotide polymorphisms in OXT, ARNT2 and CD38
Data suggest that selected human SIM1 (single-minded homolog 1 (show SIM1 Antibodies)) variants exhibit poor dimerization with ARNT2 and anomalous intracellular localization; these data were used to predict 'hot-spot' in SIM1 (show SIM1 Antibodies)/SIM2 (show SIM2 Antibodies) (residues 290-326) critical for function.
These results provide insight into the mechanisms of NPAS4 (show NPAS4 Antibodies)/ARNT (show ARNT Antibodies) dimerisation and transcriptional activation.
mutation of ARNT2 results in absence of detectable levels of ARNT2 transcript and protein from patient fibroblasts compared with controls, consistent with nonsense-mediated decay of the mutant transcript and loss of ARNT2 function.
In white males, rs4072568 in ARNT2 was also associated with BMI (P = 9 x 10(-4)) and % body fat (P = 0.001).
ARNT2 might play an important role in the modulation of HIF-1 (show HIF1A Antibodies)-regulated signaling and metabolism.
promotes differentiation of IL-22 (show IL22 Antibodies)-producing CD4 (show CD4 Antibodies)(+) T-cells
There is no association of ARNT2 gene with cleft palate only (n = 45) and cleft lip/palate (n = 37).
We thus propose that NDN (show NDN Antibodies) regulates neuronal function and hypoxic response by regulating the activities of the ARNT2:SIM1 (show SIM1 Antibodies) and ARNT2:HIF1alpha (show HIF1A Antibodies) dimers, respectively.
This gene encodes a member of the basic-helix-loop-helix-Per-Arnt-Sim (bHLH-PAS) superfamily of transcription factors. The encoded protein acts as a partner for several sensor proteins of the bHLH-PAS family, forming heterodimers with the sensor proteins that bind regulatory DNA sequences in genes responsive to developmental and environmental stimuli. Under hypoxic conditions, the encoded protein complexes with hypoxia-inducible factor 1alpha in the nucleus and this complex binds to hypoxia-responsive elements in enhancers and promoters of oxygen-responsive genes. A highly similar protein in mouse forms functional complexes with both aryl hydrocarbon receptors and Single-minded proteins, suggesting addition roles for the encoded protein in the metabolism of xenobiotic compounds and the regulation of neurogenesis, respectively.
