    Background
    The antibody reacts with a 120 kDa single chain membrane glycoprotein specific for the CD6 antigen. The antigen is found on >80% normal mature T cells and a sub-population of B cells in peripheral blood. The antigen also exhibits weak expression on cortical thymocytes and the majority of chronic B lymphocytic leukaemias
