Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity ofHuman FGF-5 (27.6 μg/mL), a concentration of 100 μg/mL. ELISA: This antibody can be used at a concentration of 4.0-8.0 μg/mL, as a Captureantibody in conjunction with a compatible secondary reagent to yield satisfactory resultsin a Sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

FGF-5 is a secreted heparin binding growth factor belonging to the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role in prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-5 binds to FGFR 1c and 2c, and plays a regulatory role in the hair growth cycle.Synonyms: FGF-5, Fibroblast growth factor 5, HBGF5, Heparin-binding growth factor 5, Smag-82
