Specificity
- Reacts with the mouse Connexin 47 protein. On Western blots of mouse thalamus homogenates and Connexin 47-transfected HeLa cells, it identified a band at ~47kD. Reactivity was confirmed in Western blots with mouse thalamus lysates. Mouse Connexin 47-transfected HeLa cells were used in both Immunoprecipitation and Western blot assays. This antibody was also used in immunofluorescence assays using paraformaldehyde-fixed mouse brain. The expected staining pattern is punctate labeling of the oligodendrocytes in the brain.
