    AA 1166-1180

    Specificity

Peptide synthesized using conventional technology. The sequence of the epitope is: NH2-C-S-L-D-N-P-D-Y-Q-Q-D-F-F-P-K-E-COOH and corresponds to amino acids 1166-1180 of the EGFR molecule. This maps to a region near the carboxy-terminus which is identical in human, mouse and rat EGFR. The amino terminal cysteine was synthesized to facilitate carrier coupling.

    Purification

    Sterile filtered

    Immunogen

    Type of Immunogen: Native protein
  • Application Notes

    Approved: ELISA (1:10000 - 1:50000), IHC, IHC-P (1:500), IP, WB (1:1000 - 1:10000)

Usage: Immunohistochemistry: This antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in  pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for this antibody was determined to be 1:500.
