CD49d antigen is the integrin alpha-4 chain non covalently associated with the integrin beta-1-chain (CD29 molecule) forming the VLA4 complex. Reacts with monocytes, T cells, B cells, thymocytes and Langerhans cells.

Application Notes: Flow cytometry Basic studies of VLA4 mediated adhesion and its interaction with the VCAM-1 structure. Fluorescent microscopy or flow cytometry: 2 µg/5x105 cells/test Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

Handling Advice: Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. The addition of 0.1 % (w/v) sodium azide is recommended for storage up to one month at 2-8 °C.
Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
Prepare working dilution only prior to immediate use.
