- Background
- Vα11 T cell receptor (TCR Vα11) is a variant of TCR α chain and, along with TCR β chain, forms the TCR heterodimer. In association with the CD3 complex, TCR α/β is responsible for antigen recognition through the interaction with MHC-peptide complex to initiate the T cell-mediated immune responses. The RR8-1 antibody is specific for b and d haplotypes of TCR Vα11.1 and Vα11.2, but not for Vα11.3. It does not react with a and c haplotypes of TCR Vα11.
