  • Application Notes

    Immunohistochemistry Dilution: User Optimized

Application Note: Anti-Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase Peroxidase conjugated antibody has been tested by western blot and is suitable to be assayed against 1.0 μg of Phospho-enol-Pyruvate Carboxylase [Maize] in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:1,000 to 1:6,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

    Western Blot Dilution: 1:500 - 1:2,000

    ELISA Dilution: 1:5,000 - 1:20,000

  • Target

    PCK1 (phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxykinase 1 (Soluble) (PCK1))

    Alternative Name

    Phospho Enol Pyruvate Carboxylase

    Background

Background: Phospho Enol Pyruvate Carboxylase is an enzyme in the family of carboxy-lyases that catalyzes the addition of bicarbonate to phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to form a four-carbon compound oxaloacetate. This reaction is used for carbon fixation in CAM and C4 plants where it plays a key role in photosynthesis. The enzyme is also found in some bacteria, but not in animals or fungi.
