Western Blotting (WB), ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
    Cross-Reactivity (Details)
Cross reactivity against Phospho-enol-Pyruvate Carboxylase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
    Purification
Phospho Enol Pyruvate Carboxylase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified Phospho-enol-Pyruvate Carboxylase [Maize].

  • Application Notes

    Immunohistochemistry Dilution: User Optimized

Application Note: Anti-Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Phospho-enol-Pyruvate Carboxylase [Maize] in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:1,000 to 1:6,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

    Background

Synonyms: PEPC 1 antibody, PEPCase 1 antibody, Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase 1 antibody

Background: Phospho Enol Pyruvate Carboxylase is an enzyme in the family of carboxy-lyases that catalyzes the addition of bicarbonate to phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to form a four-carbon compound oxaloacetate. This reaction is used for carbon fixation in CAM and C4 plants where it plays a key role in photosynthesis. The enzyme is also found in some bacteria, but not in animals or fungi.
