-
Purpose
- Anti-Alpha-Tubulin [F2C], Rabbit IgG, lambda
-
Specificity
-
This antibody is specific for human alpha-tubulin (no cross-reactivity with beta-tubulin). Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. The alpha chain has a non-exchangeable GTP-binding site.
Application Notes original Clone: This antibody's original format (human scFv) was successfully used in a Western blot, and its anti-myc (9E10) complexed version was successfully used for in vitro immunofluorescence staining of alpha-tubulin in HeLa cells (Nizak et al., 2003, PMID: 14617357).
-
Characteristics
- This full-length, chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human scFv format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
-
Purification
- Protein A affinity purified
-
Immunogen
- The original antibody was generated via phage display from the Griffin.1 library by screening against Microtubule-Binding Proteins (MBPs) derived from HeLa S3 cells.
-
Isotype
- IgG, lambda
