- NIFK (MKI67IP) (MKI67 FHA Domain-Interacting Nucleolar Phosphoprotein (MKI67IP))
-
Alternative Name
- NIFK

Background
- NIFK (nucleolar protein interacting with the FHA domain of pKi-67), also called Ki-67ip, was identified via a two-hybrid screening from HeLa cDNA using the N-terminal portion of pKi-67. It can bind RNA and may play a role in mitosis and cell cycle progression. In mitosis, NIFK is thought to colocalize with pKi-67 at the surface of mitotic chromosomes.
