    Purpose
V-ATPase H is a protein encoded by the ATP6V1H gene which is approximately 55,9 kDa. V-ATPase H is localised to the cytosol. It is involved in insulin receptor recycling and innate immune system. It is a multi-subunit enzyme that mediates acidification of intracellular organelles. V-ATPase-dependent organelle acidification is necessary for multiple processes including protein sorting, zymogen activation, receptor-mediated endocytosis, and synaptic vesicle proton gradient generation. Subunit H activates the ATPase activity of the enzyme and couples ATPase activity to proton flow. V-ATPase H is widely expressed. Mutations in the ATP6V1H gene may result in an involvement in the HIV life cycle. STJ96226 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of V-ATPase H protein.
