    pThr52

    Supplier Product No.

    600-401-w94

    Supplier

    Rockland

    Purpose

    ATF2 Phospho T52 Antibody

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Anti-ATF2 pT52 Antibody is directed against ATF2 protein phosphorylated at T52.

    Purification

The antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using phospho peptide coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) against non-phospho peptide and non-specific peptide to remove any unwanted reactivities.

    Sterility

    Sterile filtered

    Immunogen

Anti-Phospho-Thr52 ATF2 Antibody was produced in rabbits by repeated immunizations with a synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding phosphorylated Thr52 of human ATF2 conjugated to KLH.

    Isotype

    IgG

    Comment

Anti-Phospho-Thr52 ATF2 Antibody is tested for WB. Expect a band at approximately ~74 kDa on specific lysates or tissues. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

Background: The transcription factor ATF2 is a member of the ATF/CREB family of leucine zipper proteins. In response to stress stimuli, it activates a variety of gene targets that are involved in oncogenesis, and has been correlated with maintenance of a cancer cell phenotype. Inhibiting ATF2 impedes melanoma development and elicits tumor suppressor function. To act as a tumor suppressor, ATF2 must localize at the mitochondria, and phosphorylation at Thr52 by PKCε regulates this translocation. ATF2 pT52 Antibody is ideal for researchers interested in cancer research.
