Histone H2A.X (phospho Ser139) Polyclonal Antibody

    Specificity

Phospho-Histone H2A.X (S139) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Histone H2A.X protein only when phosphorylated at S139.

    Purification

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen

    Immunogen

Synthesized peptide derived from human Histone H2A.X Phospho-Ser139

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB (1:500-1:2000), IHC-P (1:100-1:300), ELISA (1:10000). Not yet tested in other applications.

    Background

Rabbit Anti-Histone H2A.X (phospho Ser139) Polyclonal Antibody,H2AFX, H2AX, Histone H2A.x, H2a/x,Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. H2AFX encodes a replication-independent histone that is a member of the histone H2A family, and generates two transcripts through the use of the conserved stem-loop termination motif, and the polyA addition motif.,Histone H2A.x
