- Background
- Background: Coronin 2 is an F-actin binding protein that plays an important role in processes involving actin dynamics such as fibroblast migration, and phagocytosis. Coronin 2 influences actin dynamics by promoting actin depolymerization. It has been shown to interact with the Arp2/3 complex and inhibit Arp2/3-induced actin nucleation. Additionally, it can regulate motility by regulating the actin severing and disassembling activity of cofilin.
