    Alternative Name

    GIGYF2

    Background

Background: GRB10 interacting GYF protein 2 (GIGYF2) interacts with GRB10 and may be involved in the regulation of tyrosine kinase receptor signaling. The GIGYF2 contains CAG repeats, and the encoded protein contains stretches of glutamine and glutamic acid residues. Defects in the GIGYF2 gene are a cause of Parkinson disease type 11 (PARK11) [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 26058)].
