Background
- Background: Nuclear factor of activated T cells, cytoplasmic 1(NFATc3) is a member of the NFAT family of transcription factors which includes NFAT1 (NFATp/NFATc2), NFAT2 (NFATc/NFATc1), NFAT3 (NFATc4), and NFAT4 (NFATc3/NFATx). Different members of the NFAT family are expressed in a distinct but overlapping set of cell types. NFATc3 plays a role in the inducible expression of cytokine genes in T-cells, especially in the induction of IL-2.
