Background
- Background: Ribosomal protein S6 kinase beta 2 (S6K2) encodes a member of the ribosomal S6 kinase family that phosphorylates the 40 S ribosomal subunit protein S6 and eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4B (eIF4B). S6K2 is an isoform of the p70 S6 kinase, S6K (p70a/S6K1) and is in the PI3K and mTOR pathway.
