  • Target

    PALB2 (Partner and Localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2))

    Alternative Name

    PALB2

    Background

Background: PALB2 (partner and localizer of BRCA2) interacts with BRCA2 and promotes BRCA2 localization and stability. PALB2 is also known as FANCN. Bi-allelic mutations in PALB2 result in Fanconi anemia disorder and breast cancer susceptibility. At the cellular level, PALB2 is important to the DNA damage response and chromosome stability and is essential to BRCA2 function.
