- BAP1 (BRCA1 Associated Protein-1 (Ubiquitin Carboxy-terminal Hydrolase) (BAP1))
-
Alternative Name
- BAP1
-
Background
- BRCA1-associated protein 1 (BAP1) functions as a C-terminal ubiquitin hydrolase and may be involved in the transduction of signals in the BRCA1 pathway. BAP1 is also implicated to be a tumor suppressor as defects in BAP1 are found in non-small cell lung cancer cell lines.
