Background
- MYG13 reacts with high affinity to CD22, which is expressed in the cytoplasma of all B-cells, appearing as early as cell-surface CD19 during B-cell development. It's present on the surface of most mature sIg+ B-cells with especially high expression on hairy cell and prolymphocytic leukemia cells. CD22 is a member of the immunoglobulin super-family and acts as an adhesion molecule: BL-CAM. On frozen sections, CD22 is found highly expressed in follicular mantle and marginal zone B-cells, while germinal centre B-cell relatively weakly. Positive control: Raji, Daudi, IM9, JY25 and human peripheral blood lymphocytes or tonsil.
