- Background
- CCL1 (chemokine C-C motif ligand 1) is a small glycoprotein secreted by activated T cells that belongs to a family inflammatory cytokines known as chemokines. CCL1 attracts monocytes, NK cells, and immature B cells and dendritic cells by interacting with a cell surface chemokine receptor called CCR8. Unlike the other members of the C-C family, CCL1 does not induce chemotaxis in natural killer (NK) cells. Recombinant human CCL1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer. Synonyms: Chemokine C-C motif ligand 1, I-309, P500, SCYA1, SISe, TCA3. NCBI no.: NP_002972
