First identified and named MRCKb based on sequence similarity to MRCKa (CDC42bpa (show CDC42BPA Antibodies)) and orthology to human MRCKb/CDC42bpb
these results provide further validation for MRCK (show CDC42BPA Antibodies) involvement in regulation of cancer cell invasion.
Cdc42 (show CDC42 Antibodies)-dependent formation of the ZO-1 (show TJP1 Antibodies)/MRCKbeta complex at the leading edge controls cell migration.
Q-PCR results demonstrated VH2 genes were overexpressed in ankylosing spondylitis patients. The sequence analysis revealed the majority of them contained CDC42 binding protein kinase Beta (CDC42 (show CDC42 Antibodies) BPB (show S100B Antibodies)) genes.
analysis of the interaction of phorbol esters with the C1 domain of MRCK (myotonic dystrophy kinase-related Cdc42 binding kinase) alpha (show CDC42BPA Antibodies)/beta
This gene encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. The encoded protein contains a Cdc42/Rac-binding p21 binding domain resembling that of PAK kinase. The kinase domain of this protein is most closely related to that of myotonic dystrophy kinase-related ROK. Studies of the similar gene in rat suggested that this kinase may act as a downstream effector of Cdc42 in cytoskeletal reorganization.
