Western Blot. Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 10 μg/mL. This HGF antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigenretrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides wereincubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkalinephosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

- Background
- Hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor (HGF/SF) is a multifunctional heterodimeric polypeptide and an effector of cells expressing the Met tyrosine kinase receptor. It mediates the growth and scattering of various cell types, epithelial mesenchymal transition, the formation of tubules and lumens and promotes angiogenesis. The ligand-receptor pair has also shown to be uniquely involved in most human solid tumors and to participate in tumor development, invasion and metastasis.Synonyms: HPTA, Hepatopoeitin-A, Scatter factor
