    Product Specific Information

What can the CRBN antibody ABIN7165198 be used for? This polyclonal, unconjugated rabbit anti-CRBN antibody is suitable for the detection of cereblon (CRBN) in ELISA, Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. The CRBN antibody has been validated for the human species. Based on the sequence, cross-reactivity with mouse can be assumed. Recombinant human cereblon protein was used as immunogen for production.

What validation data is available for this CRBN antibody? The CRBN antibody currently has three product images demonstrating its performance in IHC and Western blot. Use our high-quality CRBN Antibody to reliably detect Cereblon.

What is the function of CRBN? CRBN is a substrate recognition component of a DCX (DDB1-CUL4-X-box) E3 protein ligase complex that mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins, such as MEIS2 or ILF2. Normal degradation of key regulatory proteins is required for normal limb outgrowth and expression of the fibroblast growth factor FGF8. CRBN maintains presynaptic glutamate release and consequently cognitive functions, such as memory and learning, by negatively regulating large-conductance calcium-activated potassium (BK) channels in excitatory neurons. Background

Background: Substrate recognition component of a DCX (DDB1-CUL4-X-box) E3 protein ligase complex that mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins, such as MEIS2. Normal degradation of key regulatory proteins is required for normal limb outgrowth and expression of the fibroblast growth factor FGF8. May play a role in memory and learning by regulating the assembly and neuronal surface expression of large-conductance calcium-activated potassium channels in brain regions involved in memory and learning via its interaction with KCNT1. Binding of pomalidomide and other thalidomide-related drugs changes the substrate specificity of the human protein, leading to decreased degradation of MEIS2 and other target proteins and increased degradation of MYC, IRF4, IKZF1 and IKZF3.
