Product Details anti-CDK2 Antibody

Target Details CDK2 Application Details Handling References for anti-CDK2 Antibody (ABIN116515) Images
Specificity This antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by Delipidation and Defibrination. Antiserum will specifically react with a 33 kDa cdk2 protein. No reaction was observed against other related cyclin dependent kinases. Cross reactivity with cdk2 from other species may also occur.
Purification Serum
Immunogen CDK2 peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of the Human protein conjugated to Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH).

Antigen
Alternative Name CDK2 (CDK2 Antibody Abstract)
Background Cdk2 is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is highly similar to the gene products of S. cerevisiae cdc28, and S. pombe cdc2. It is a catalytic subunit of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase complex, whose activity is restricted to the G1-S phase, and is essential for cell cycle G1/S phase transition. This protein associates with and is regulated by the regulatory subunits of the complex including cyclin A or E, CDK inhibitor p21Cip1 (CDKN1A) and p27Kip1 (CDKN1B). Its activity is also regulated by protein phosphorylation. Two alternatively spliced variants and multiple transcription initiation sites of this gene have been reported.Synonyms: Cell division protein kinase 2, Cyclin dependent kinase 2, p33 protein kinase
Gene ID 1017
NCBI Accession NP_001789
UniProt P24941
Research Area Cell Cycle, CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Pathways PI3K-Akt Signaling, Cell Division Cycle
