- Background
- NUBP1, a member of the NUBP/MRP subfamily of ATP-binding protein, is implicated in the regulation of centrosome duplication. As a component of the cytosolic iron-sulfur (Fe/S) protein assembly machinery it is required for maturation of extramitochondrial Fe/S proteins. May bind and transfer 2 labile 4Fe-4S clusters to target apoproteins.Synonyms: NBP, NBP1, Nucleotide-binding protein 1
