This antibody can be used for the Immunohistochemical detection of histiocytic neoplasia and myeloid leukemias. Monocytic leukemia cells show strong positive immune reaction. Weak reaction is also found with granulocytes. LYZ-Z blocks the catalytic activity of Human Lysozyme.
Cross-Reactivity (Details)
Species reactivity (tested):Human. Negative with Rabbit.
Immunoblotting. Flow Cytometry. Immunocytology. Immunohistochemistry (1/20): Suitable for Frozen and Paraffin-Embedded Sections. Use PBS with 0.09 % sodium azide and 0.5 % BSA as dilution buffer. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Lysozyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of certain mucopolysaccharides of bacterial cell walls. Specifically, it catalyzes the hydrolysis of the bacterial cell wall beta glycosidic linkages between N acetylmuramic acid and N acetylglucosamine. It is found in spleen, lung, kidney, white blood cells, plasma, saliva, milk, and tears.Synonyms: 1, 4-beta-N-acetylmuramidase C, LYZ, LZM
