Application Notes
Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity ofOncostatin M (10 ng/mL), a concentration of 0.1 - 0.175 μg/mL of this antibody is required. Immunohistochemistry: We recommend use of 1 μg/mL as a starting dilution. Paraffinsections may require pretreatment like Proteinase K or Trypsin predigestion to improvestaining. ELISA: To detect Oncostatin M by direct ELISA (using 100 l/well antibody solution) aconcentration of at least 0.5 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinitypurified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detectionof 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Oncostatin M. Western Blot: use a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatiblesecondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Oncostatin M is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane,under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
