The Mouse Monoclonal anti-GSK3 alpha antibody (Clone 9B8) (ABIN126804) specifically detects GSK3 alpha in WB and EIA.
The antibody is reactive with Human, Mouse, Rat and Dog samples.
This antibody specifically recognizes GSK3alpha phosphorylated at serine 21 (Western blot: 51 kDa) but does not crossreact with the homologous phosphorylation site in GSK3beta (phospho-Ser 9).

Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 (GSK3) exists in two isoforms, alpha and beta (GSK3alpha, GSK3beta). GSK3 is an active kinase that becomes phosphorylated by PKB/akt upon growth factor stimulation. Phosphorylation of GSK3alpha at serine 21 or GSK3beta at serine 9, respectively, leads to inhibition of kinase activity of the GSK3.Synonyms: Factor A, GSK-3 alpha, GSK3A, Glycogen synthase kinase-3 alpha
