ARTS (Apoptosis Related Protein in TGFSignaling Pathway) is a mito-chondrial septin-like protein. ARTS translocates to the cell nucleus when apoptosis occurs. It enhances apoptosis induced by TGF- and other inducers of apoptosis, such as TNF and Fas ligand.
