Specificity
- Highly specific for the intermediate filament protein vimentin which is present in all cells of mesenchymal origin. This clone has turned out to be the most avid mab to vimentin. Polypeptide reacting: Mr 57000 intermediate filament protein (vimentin) of mesenchymal cells. Reactivities on Cultured RD cells, glioma cells, fibroblasts (SV-80), MDCK. Tumors specifically detected: sarcoma (including myosarcoma), lymphoma, melanoma. Species cross-reactivity: Human, monkey, bovine, canine, chicken, amphibia.

Approved: ELISA, IF, IHC, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, WB
Usage: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, Immunofluorescence microscopy and Immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue and cytological material): 1:10 with PBS, pH 7.4, Incubation Time 1 hr at RT, extended with paraffin. Protease pretreatment is required prior to antibody application. Positive control: Cultured RD cells, glioma cells, fibroblasts (SV-80), MDCK. Tumors specifically detected: sarcoma (including myosarcoma), lymphoma, melanoma. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested. -
