GLUT8 antibody was purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Immunogen
GLUT8 antibody was raised against an 11 amino acid synthetic peptide near the C-Terminus of GLUT8.
ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:32,000. Western Blot: Approximately 80 kDa and 35 kDa in human peripheral blood mononucleocyte lysates after 0.5 μg/mL antibody staining.8 kDa according to NP_055395.2. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional bands). Added note: The observed 35 kDa band corresponds to the calculated size of 34.4 kDa of EAW87663.1 (314 aa long).
