Specificity: The peptide sequence used (from AAC50460.1) differs by one residue from the RefSeq entry (NP_003002.1) and the three other Genbank protein sequences referenced in the Locuslink entry. It is not known whether this difference is due to a sequencing error or polymophism but the antibody is expected to recognize both sequences.

Purification: SET antibody was purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.

Immunogen: SET antibody was raised against a 14 amino acid synthetic peptide near the N-Terminus of SET.

Application Details

Application Notes: ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:1000. Western Blot: Approximately 20-25 kDa and 40 kDa bands seen in human kidney extracts. Recommended for use at 1-3 μg/mL.
