Characteristics: This antibody recognizes a non-histone protein of 36 kDa, which is identified as proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). PCNA is also known as cyclin or polymerase delta auxiliary protein. Elevated expression of PCNA-cyclin has been shown in the nucleus during late G1 phase immediately before the onset of DNA synthesis, becoming maximal during S-phase and declining during G2 and M phases. This antibody is excellent for the detection of PCNA in multiple applications.

Purification: Protein G affinity chromatography

Immunogen: Rat PCNA / Protein A fusion protein was used as the immunogen for this antibody.

Application Details

Application Notes: The concentration stated for each application is a general starting point. Variations in protocols, secondaries and substrates may require the antibody to be titered up or down for optimal performance.

1. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10  mM citrate buffer,  pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.\. FACS: 0.5-1 μg/million cells,IF: 0.5-1 μg/mL,WB: 0.5-1 μg/mL,IHC (FFPE): 0.5-1 μg/mL for 30 minutes at RT (1),Prediluted format : incubate for 30 min at RT (2)
