- Recognizes human MMP-9 at 92kD and 86kD (non-reducing conditions) which are identified as pro (latent) and active forms of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9, also known as 92kD and collagenase IV or gelatinase B). Reacts with the complex (~200kD) of MMP-9 and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1 (TIMP-1)1. Does not cross-react with pro and active forms of MMP-2.

Usage: Immunohistochemistry: This antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for this antibody was determined to be 5 μg/mL. Western Blot: 1 μg/mL for 2hrs at RT under non-reducing conditions. Immunoprecipitation: 2 μg/mg protein lysate. Use Protein G. Inhibition: 2-4 μg/mL. - Comment
